Last Sunday I walked 10km with a group of lovely friends. We enjoyed the fresh air, chat and exercise but we also raised some funds for Cancer Research UK, a cause that is close to all our hearts.
Our youngest daughter finished her last university exams . . . where on earth did those three years go? She came home for a couple of days to relax before heading back for some fun and celebrations with her friends.
Produce from the garden. We have enjoyed some fresh rhubarb and a few cherry tomatoes so far. They taste so much better when you have grown them yourself!
Our wedding anniversary!
Evening strolls in the sunshine. Last night we walked by the sea and ate fish and chips to celebrate our anniversary.

It is half-term week next week so a few days off for me! Yay! Have some writing planned (of course!) but also a few days away walking around Dartmoor. Will be lovely to get away for a bit. Please note that internet will be patchy there so I am unlikely to post for IWSG next week.
Thanks to Lexa and her lovely co-hosts

Great when you can get writing in indeed. Yeah, we just have to remember the bright spots.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see more of you, it's great to remember all the good things in life. There is so much sorrow.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your few day's break.
Yvonne.
Happy anniversary Suzanne! So happy you grow your own veggies. My sister used to do it and so did our grandma. Congratulations on your writing. Our condolences to all of the victims of the attack in Manchester and their families. It's horribly sad and we send our prayers and thoughts to everyone involved.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary and enjoy your days off! Hope you get lots of writing done, too!
ReplyDeleteAw, happy anniversary! Hope you have a fantastic break...
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne - lovely you were able to walk along the coast and enjoy the pleasures of the wonderful outdoors. Congratulations to your daughter - onwards for her ... more veggie for you perhaps - I quite agree fresh veggie and fruits are the most delicious one can eat ... Congratulations on your anniversary ... a walk by the sea and fish and chips - excellent choice ... cheers Hilary

Happy anniversary!
ReplyDeleteThat's great you walked the 10K.
And nothing beats homegrown or local produce.
It's amazing that when something so frightening happens, most of our lives go on just as normal after a few days... I'm glad your daughter's finished her exams and I wish you a very Happy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the anniversary. May you have many, many, many more years together. Seeing your purple and reading of your love for said colour, reminded me of my daughter's love for purple when she was younger. At some point she went off it, but I remember one weekend, when she was away with her grandmother, we re painted her room including the furniture in purple as a surprise. She totally loved it.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had an amazing week. Congratulations to your wedding anniversary and to your daughter!
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary! And congrats to your daughter! I admire your long walk for cancer. We all know someone who has suffered and could benefit. Hope you are enjoying the weekend.
