Thanks to Viklit for hosting our weekly celebrations
What's been happening this week? Well, I received a parcel from the lovely Leandra as part of a recent giveaway she ran to celebrate her 1st bloggy birthday. Leandra LOVES ampersands and vanilla in her pop! If you haven't meet Leandra yet I suggest you hop on over and say 'hi.'
The pretty pink ampersand is now sitting by my laptop. Thanks again Leandra.
The last couple of days have been warm and sunny, finally been able to go out without a coat on. Hoping it lasts a while. The sunshine always seems to make you feel more energised.
Following on from last week here are a couple of pictures of my daughter dancing in the Flora Dance. Sadly it was a wet day and some of the dancing had to be cut short but everyone still seemed to have fun.
Happy weekend everyone
What a cute ampersand!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, too! Sorry to hear some of the dancing had to be cut short...
It was a shame for the children, the adult's dance continued despite the rain!
DeleteAfter your last post, I looked at a few of the Flora Day videos on Youtube and found that the music and dancing is VERY infectious. Both my children appeared out of nowhere and started dressing up and capering about in their own (very silly) version of the dance. I'm ashamed to confess that seeing some of the dancers trying to keep serious faces while their magnificent outfits were soaked through by torrential rain...did make us giggle a bit. Sorry, Suzanne xx
ReplyDeleteWell yeah, they probably had a giggle afterwards too! The dry cleaners were busy the following week. Would have loved to see your boy's version of the dance, the tune is still in my head and I wasn't even there all day xx
DeleteI'm seeing that flavoring everywhere. One woman posted that she uses it in her coffee instead of creamer. Where do you guys get it? Is it something you have to order online?
ReplyDeleteMaybe Leandra can answer that one, Stephanie. I haven't had time to try it yet but intend to.
DeleteCongrats on the win. Cute Amperstand. Too bad it's not purple!
ReplyDeleteAwesome pictures. And three cheers for sunshine!! I am always happier when the sun is shining- :)
Pink is my second fav colour so it blends in nicely! Mega yay for the sunshine :)
DeleteCongrats on the win! That Amersand is cute and the vanilla flavoring is sweet!
ReplyDeleteWay to go with your daughter and her dancing!
Thanks, Tyrean :)
DeleteCongrats on winning at your sea. Sun is finally coming out here too
ReplyDeleteThe sun is a great boast!
DeleteWhat a lovely gift from Leandra - she's a sweetie! Of course it rained on the "Flora" Dance - flora need lots of water to grow. Have a great weekend! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love my gift.
DeleteHaha I hadn't thought of it like that before!
Awww that's so sweet of Leandra, and it's so cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad everyone had fun despite the weather and the dancing being cut short, it's all in the attitude, right? ;)
Definitely, the show must go on!
DeleteThat looks like a great gift!
ReplyDeleteThe weather was lovely while I was away, too, and it really did make a nice change.
Glad you had a nice break, Laura :)
DeleteWhile I hate the heat, I do love the sun...it does give you energy and that motivation to get out of bed in the morning :) Congrats on the win and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks, hope you have a great weekend too :)
DeleteCongrats on winning such a lovely prize!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun prize to receive.
ReplyDeleteI hope your daughter enjoyed dancing in the rain.
The pictures are lovely, Suzanne. I hope everyone had fun in spite of the weather. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love the pink ampersand! It really would look good on a writing desk. ;)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to warmer weather. Have a nice weekend
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the win. I've finally learned how that funny sign is called in English! Ampersand. Hahaha. Nice pictures!
ReplyDeleteLovely pics. What a shame about the weather. My choir has booked some Morris dancers to bolster our summer concert, which should be fun. It's not until mid-July, so we're hoping the sun will shine.
ReplyDeleteI saw the Flora day footage on the news - people were still smiling, so I'm glad the rain didn't dampen spirits.
ReplyDeleteYeah to gifts in the post! It sounds delicious, and those picks capture a lot of fun!

We finally had a little bit of sun this weekend, but unfortunately it's back to gloomy and rain. I'm hoping it doesn't last long though.
ReplyDeleteThat pink ampersand is lovely - congrats on winning it.
ReplyDeleteand here's to sunny weather, it makes such a difference, doesn't it?!
What a fun prize! :)
