Celebrate the small things

I'm ready for Friday this week . . . I was ready for Friday around Wednesday actually! Tiredness and a general feeling of only functioning on half power seemed to follow me all week. Hopefully the weekend will help me recharge. Maybe because of that feeling I have found it harder than usual to find things to celebrate this week. But thinking about the good things helps to put things into perspective so I dug deep and was pleasantly surprised by what I unearthed!

 * I completed and sent off a short story.

 * I caught up with some housework tasks in the evenings which should
mean more time for me over the weekend.

 * I had a nice telephone call with a friend.

 * For a few weeks I have been having some dental treatment which
finished yesterday. So hurrah for that! My bank balance may be a
little lighter but hopefully I won't need to visit the dentist again for a
   while.

Happy weekend

  14. Hi human, Suzanne,

I'm so far behind that it's actually the Wednesday after last Wednesday!

Well done on completing and sending off your short story. Good to know the dental work is over. Hope your week has gone well. Heck, almost in time for the next weekend.

    Pawsitive wishes, your way,

    Penny!

  15. *shudders* And at least you don't have to hit the dentists office for a while, eh? I don't mind most dentists, but the smell of the office...

I often think we have to look at what we've accomplished and rejoice. Life is too heavy otherwise. I'm celebrating the fact my kidlets are done with school THIS FRIDAY. It's been the craziest school year yet and I'm excited to have it done and bounce back into a free-style home schooling curriculum.
