Celebrate the small things

This week I'm celebrating our town's traditional May festivities. There will be bluebells and gorse and dancing and music and (hopefully!) sunshine.

Happy weekend

  2. Hi Suzanne - looks like it will be a great weekend and the weather will be kind - sincerely hope so. Bluebells are just so delightful ... your hedgerows full and bursting with more seeds to burst forth ...

The floral display is gorgeous ... enjoy - cheers Hilary

  4. May 1st was a holiday in Egypt (their usual work week is Sat - Thurs.) I'm kind of amazed that it's such a big deal everywhere while it's not in the US - unless you're a Renaissance Fair groupie. Then you can do the fair maidens skipping around the May Pole thing. lol! Have a great weekend!

    1. How do I know about the May Pole thing, you ask? I confess! I was a Renn-fest groupie and one of the "fair" maidens for many years! ;)

  10. Hi Suzanne,

I love the May festivities and all the upcoming Well Dressings. Not sure what happened to the sunny weather. It's raining heavily up here in Leek.

Time for me to go Morris Dancing.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

    Gary :)
