Thanks to Viklit for hosting our weekly celebrations post.
This week I have managed to draft some outlines for a new writing project. I am a fan of mind maps and now have a pretty looking sheet sat next to my laptop. Next step some character profiles, hopefully will get time to start these over the weekend. Then, knowing the way I work, I'll probably just dive in with Chapter One!
Update from last week's post - the table is finally in place and being used. I am very pleased with it!
Happy Weekend
Ooh - I WANT that table! And the spooky masked man in top hat and opera-cloak who's reflected in the base - I want him too!
ReplyDeleteHaha, just gone back to look at that Helen. Very observant of you! Just checked the kitchen, he's not there now!
DeleteExcellent progress Suzanne! :D

Thanks, Shah
DeleteThe table looks retro cool.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're almost ready to go with the new project.
Cheers Alex, I'm getting there.
DeleteGood luck with chapter one. With the outlines and profiles as guidence you should be able to dive right in and explore the story.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm not much of a planner so will get stuck in and see what happens!
DeleteYou're good Suzanne with outlines and profiles. I never outline. My fingers to the talking immediately with an outline in my head then as I continue on I start profiles. Good Luck with starting chapter one. And love the table & chairs.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big planner really. As the story is a sequel to something else I just wanted to make sure I had the continuity sorted and details close to hand when I need it!
DeleteGreat progress on the outlines, good luck with the character profiles :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Laura :)
DeleteGood job with the outlines, Suzanne! You'll be zooming along with your project now. Happy weekend and I'm glad your table is just perfect for you.
ReplyDeleteMaybe not zooming exactly but moving forward hopefully. Have a fun weekend :)
DeleteOoh, I like your table!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your new book.
Thanks Jennifer.
DeleteLove the whole set -- table and chairs. All the best with the book :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm pleased with it :)
DeleteTable looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteThe table looks lovely! Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou too, Christine :)
DeleteProject sounds under way and nice table too
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pat :)
DeleteYay for the table being in place, the whole set is cool!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to draft some outline, really good progress :D
Any progress is worth celebrating!
DeleteThe table looks amazing and I love the white chairs. Good luck with your writing project.
ReplyDeleteI think it is pretty cool!
DeleteLove that table!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are off to a great start with your writing project. Good luck with it!
Thanks, Julie :)
DeleteGood luck with chapter one.
ReplyDeleteI love the table. No sneaking veggies to the dog with that table.
You can't wear your PJ bottoms either!
DeleteI really like that table! Good luck with the writing!
ReplyDeleteWell done on the outlines. Just getting something down on paper/screen makes other ideas flow, in my experience. I love that table too. With cat, dog and kids glass is not a good idea in my house though :-(
ReplyDeleteI can imagine that with younger kids it may not be the best idea. Hopefully mine are past the stinky fingers stage! (I say hopefully!)
DeleteThat's a nice looking table and chairs. Now just make sure you don't use any abrasive cleaners on them otherwise it will ruin the look. Anyway, who am I to tell you how to clean?
ReplyDeleteAll the best with your new writing project. I'm sure it will be a good one. Happy weekend mate.
Thank you. I find a quick spritz of window cleaner brings it up a treat! Hope your weekend is going well.
DeleteNice looking table and chairs. Very compact. I could use something like that although I like the rectangular shape of ours for spreading out the newspaper.... Happy outlining/drafting!
ReplyDeleteI had an oval shaped one before so it is different. I have a much bigger rectangular table in a separate room so guess I am lucky. I use the bigger table for spreading out my writing stuff!
DeleteGreat table and chairs! I'm sure you'll get back into your writing like you've never left! Writer’s Mark
ReplyDeleteHope so, Nancy :)
DeleteThe table looks great, Suzanne. It's a pretty space, full of muse.
ReplyDeleteTable looks LOVELY! And hurrah to mind mapping! Great to get going brainstorming a new project.
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteAh yes, mind maps. Anyway, glad you have some outlines for a new writing project.
It's clear to see you like your table.
Enjoy the week ahead.
Gary
Hi Susanne. I like the table set! Very modern. A clean fresh look. Fits well with starting new book. Sharon
