Happy Halloween
"Who first comes to this world below
In dreary November's fog and snow
Should prize the topaz amber hue
Emblem of friends and lovers true."
I have also added an extract from my Birthstone Unicorns Series for this month. Click the tab above or HERE to read it.
The lovely chrysanthemum is the flower of the month. Perfect for adding a wonderful splash of colour at this time of year. Happy Birthday to all of you celebrating this month.

DeleteCongratulations on your 100 followers! My birthday is in November so I loved this post :)
ReplyDeleteWhat is Bonfire Night?
Thanks, Heather and Happy Birthday for this month too!
DeleteBonfire Night is a predominately british thing. Nov 5th is the anninversary of a failed attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament in 1605 and kill King James I. It was led by a man called Guy Fawkes. Traditionally on Nov 5th we have bonfires, fireworks etc. I actually got engaged on bonfire night many moons ago!
WOW What a cool celebration and a good memory to go with it. I had never heard of that before but it sounds fun.
DeleteI will be awarding you the Top Commenter award on my post tomorrow

ReplyDeleteHi Tara, so pleased you have seen your birthstone in a new light. Happy birthday for this month :)
DeleteHi Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteAh yes, topaz, a fiery jewel for a fiery night. Bonfire night, Guy Fawkes night is nearly here. Never mind the Presidential election in the States on Tuesday, the real 'fireworks' starts here on Monday. Just hope folks go to controlled fireworks displays. We must think of safety and the welfare of our precious animals.
Take care and hearty congrats for going over the 100 mark in followers! :)
Gary
Thanks, Gary. I agree that organised displays are far safer and the fireworks you see are bigger and better. Definitely we have to watch our animals, I keep my cats in so they don't get scared by any noise on bonfire night.
DeleteCongratulations on 100 followers! It's a big milestone. Topaz is a great birthstone - friends and lovers... who needs more than that?
ReplyDeleteIndeed who needs more than that. Hope you have resolved your NaNo problems.
ReplyDeleteHope the editing and planning is going well, Suzanne. Congratulations on 100 followers!
