Well, we have been living through strange and unprecedented times of late. How is everyone coping?
I am still struggling to create many new words, but I have been enjoying editing my own work and reading through a friends manuscript too.
Everything still seems so uncertain and planning anything is really hard. In a few short months life has changed for most of us in so many ways. But I think it has shown that we have to find joy in the little things in life.
So, in the spirit of this I am posting a couple of pictures from my walk on Sunday.
I hope you have found something to make you smile recently.
Sorry this is a short post this month, but I send you all good wishes.
Sorry this is a short post this month, but I send you all good wishes.
I haven't been able to write fiction, but I have written non-fiction, and editing for others is easy right now.
ReplyDeleteI hope this month is better for us all.
Let's hope so, Chrys.
DeleteYou live in such a beautiful area. I would do that walk every day.
ReplyDeleteDo you know, it's only about a half hour drive from us and it's the first time I've been up to that spot. Sometimes we miss the beautiful things so close to us.
DeleteThose are really lovely pictures. I would love walking there.
ReplyDeleteI'm making more progress on writing-related things than I thought I would, so I've decided to call it as a win, regardless of what happens next.
Definitely a win, well done.
DeleteThat's great that you are editing your own work and helping out a friend by editing theirs. I am starting to write again, and it feels good.
ReplyDeleteGlad it's starting to come together for you, Natalie.
DeleteBeautiful pictures! I've been trying to do some editing, too, since I haven't really been in the mood to write.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the editing Sarah.
DeleteI agree with all that you say Suzanne, life has certainly changed . I remember Cornwall from many years ago and have fond memories. Loved the photo's.
ReplyDeleteKeep weel and safe.
Yvonne.
Thanks Yvonne, glad you enjoyed the pictures. Sending best wishes to you too.
DeleteI envy you your walk. You have such a scenic view.
ReplyDeleteIt was rather lovely.
DeleteWhat a fabulous view! Where is it?
ReplyDeleteTrencrom Hill not far from St.Ives. I'd never been up before but the view was amazing.
DeleteYes, I think many of us are writing in a different way since the pandemic hit. More time at home (stay-at-home self quarantine) really does change how we think and write. I appreciate your reminder to find joy in little things, for this pandemic is going to be around for quite a while, unfortunately, and will call for courage and tenacity from us all. Thank you also for sharing those lovely photos of your recent walk. I'm remembering that Cornwall in the old days used to be the last sight of England for sailing ships. Ah, the many gifts of writing, even here. May the coming month be good to you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Beth, I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. Good wishes to you.
DeleteHi Suzanne - lovely views of 'my' Cornwall!! Life is interesting ... I've just got on doing my own thing - sorting stuff I need, chucking stuff I don't - which is good. I've enjoyed the brain space too ... take care and enjoy the walks - Hilary
ReplyDeleteHi Hilary, lovely to hear from you, glad you enjoyed seeing the photos.
DeleteSuch beautiful photos! Can only imagine how much more amazing that scenery is in person. And glad to hear editing has been a joy for you lately, even though writing (understandably) has been a struggle. Wishing you well!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Heather. Best wishes to you too.
DeleteThose are my kind of walks! Lovely.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful isn't it.
