Happy Friday!
This week I am celebrating the start of half term week. A break from the day job and the chance to finish the first draft of my WIP. I think I am still on target! But before I forge ahead with that I have two days away with hubs to look forward to.
We have some apple trees in our garden. We planted them a few years ago and they have done really well. This year we have had lots of fruit from them and so I am celebrating yummy apple crumble!
My daughter made me some of my very own business cards. Maybe one day soon I might get a chance to hand some out! Look they match the header she made for my blog. You don't think it's too unicorny do you? No course not, there's no such thing!

Happy weekend
Hope you have a good half term break Suzanne, Also hope your writing goes well, loved the card.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Thank you, Yvonne. It is going well so far.
DeleteSnazzy business cards, aye! Love them. I got some ages ago, and I still have pretty much all of them. I feel kind of awkward handing one to someone. The situation just never seemed appropriate . . . or maybe I'm just shy?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip, the break from work, and here's hoping you get some writing done on your WIP.

I know what you mean! I'll probably not use many at the moment but they still look cool!
DeleteHURRAH for half-term - and ten pyjama days in a row! Those business cards are gorgeous. I met a writer at a launch party yesterday and when she asked for my card, I searched through my bag and then pretended I'd left my cards at home - rather than admit I wasn't professional enough (or grown-up enough) to HAVE any cards! So maybe I should look into it xx
ReplyDeleteOh yes get some! I don't expect I'll get many requests for them but there is no expiry date on them and it is nice to be able to whip one out if the situation arises. xx
DeleteThose unicorns are your symbol now! They have to be on everything.
ReplyDeleteApple trees - must be nice.
Enjoy your time away!
They are aren't they!
DeleteNeed the unicorns indeed. Enjoy your 2 days away.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat.

DeleteHi Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the half term break. Your daughter is quite the artist! English apples are yummy!
United unicorns!
Have a lovely weekend.
Gary ;)
Thanks for stopping by Gary, hope all well with you.
DeleteThose business cards are awesome! I love apple crumble, it's one of my favourite desserts :)
ReplyDeleteIt is one of mine too!
DeleteThe card looks good. Have fun with your husband, and enjoy the apples.
ReplyDeleteThank you, glad you like the cards.
DeleteThanks Karen. Glad you like it!
ReplyDeleteWe all need more unicorns! If you're too shy to hand out your cards, you could just 'accidentally' leave some lying around ... (I'd be very pleased to find one.)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break.
I love that your business card matchs your blog header. I had no idea your daughter made it. I've always admired the unicorns. :)

ReplyDeleteLOL! I was SUCH a unicorn fan as a kid.
ReplyDeleteMy oldest is in his first semester of college, and he was beyond excited when he hit the half semester point. Compared to year-long public school courses, these are a breeze. =)
Aw, those business cards are so cute! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's great that your apple trees have a lot of fruit! I see pies in your future. :-)
