Celebrate the small things ...

I'm celebrating a busy and productive writing week.

  • I have outlined and planned a new writing project.
  • Written about 10,000 words of said project
  • And set up a new writing space in the spare bedroom. I think this is going to really help me over the coming weeks as I return to the day job after the summer holidays. I can leave all my things out and know they are going to be there when I return! It is quieter and away from the general hustle and bustle of the rest of the house and with a nice view from the window. Only problem now is what to do when guests want to stay!

This post is part of the weekly celebrations hop.

  3. I love little writing and reading nooks. I can spend way too much time looking at them on the Internet. =) And congrats on 10K, that's great!!

  10. Same here! I've set up a new writing space and I'm planning a new book. There's something about September for fresh starts and good intentions. Sadly I haven't come up with any words yet - so well done on the 10,000 xx

  11. Congrats on getting some massive writing accomplished. I used to scrapbook, but stopped because it was such a hassle to clean everything up and take it out again. I agree, having a subdued and out of the way space for yourself is perfect!!

    1. Yes, it's much more productive if you can leave everything out and know it will stay there! Thanks for the visit.

  12. Excellent news on your progress with your projects.Hopefully many more chunks of 10k words will come while you're enjoying that new writing space. My home office serves me well for writing, but I'd love to carve out a dedicated painting space.

  13. You need a dedicated writing space, so the guest thing will work itself out, I'm sure. You've already accomplished so much.

  14. I've had a number of writing spaces over the years, including the spare bedroom, which works if you don't have a lot of guests. It just needs to be a dedicated 'private' space to work.

  15. Well done, you have been busy. My writing space is in what used to be the spare bedroom. No problem, I visit other people in their homes instead of inviting them to mine!
