Hi Suzanne .. once November comes around .. the year seems to tumble towards its end .. take care, do what you can and enjoy things and if you haven't had time for IWSG then something's happening .. cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteThanks Hilary. Life sure does seem busy sometimes!
DeleteI think many of us feel the same Suzanne, One can only do one thing at a time except miss IWSG of course.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
I know, I didn't want to miss it!
DeleteSometimes it can be surprising how much we've accomplished, even if it doesn't feel like a lot! This year feels like it's flown by!
ReplyDeleteMaybe when I sit down and consider a proper reflections post I will be pleasantly surprised, Emma.
DeleteI feel the same a lot, however, sometimes I am surprise how far I have come, when I look back at the small steps ai have already taken.
ReplyDeleteJuneta at Writer's Gambit
It is important to remember those small steps, they are what moves us forward.
DeleteDon't let the negative creep in!
ReplyDeleteIt can be stealthy sometimes, Alex!
DeleteYes I know what you mean... My guilt button is pressed at the minute as I don't think I've done enough. Oh well, at least its making me stutter along at the minute. Just keep on keeping on...
ReplyDeleteIndeed, let' s all keep on going, Pat.
DeleteKick the negative out with a little twist and shout haha
ReplyDeleteTwist and shout - like it!
DeleteI often think like this towards the end of the year too - but we've still got 8 weeks (exactly!) until the end of the year - plenty of time to tie up any loose odds and ends ;). You've probably accomplished a lot more than you realised - it may not be what's been on your 'to-do'/resolutions list, but it all adds up :).
ReplyDelete8 weeks till the end of the year. Wow, where does the time go? Thanks for the encouragement, Rachel.
DeleteLOL! You have time to reflect on the year? Whew! I would love some of that. Will you loan me a spare couple minutes? ;) Just remember to look back and see how much you have accomplished. Count those things first.
ReplyDeleteUnleashing the Dreamworld
Positive stuff first - I agree with that, Crystal!
DeleteLest we should drown ourselves in despair, eh?
DeleteIts that time of year for goal and accomplishment reflection. I'm in that mode myself.
ReplyDeleteDon't even think about it. Enjoy what's left of the year!
ReplyDeleteHa! I remembered about IWSG last night when I woke up at about three in the morning. Talk about last minute.....
ReplyDeleteOh yes, those end of the year reflections are popping up for me, too. Even if you fell short of your yearly goals, celebrate what you have accomplished. :)
ReplyDeleteIt took me by surprise too, mid-morning. Luckily, I'm insecure all the time :-)
ReplyDeleteAaaargh - only eight weeks left! *has nervous breakdown*
ReplyDeleteI think it's important to look at the big picture, at what you've done all year in general, as opposed to examining what you've done only in one area.
ReplyDeleteEnd of the year reflections... how depressing.... (especially to someone who last completed a book in 2012...) So let's not think about it! Live in the moment, I say! :)
ReplyDeleteTry to be encouraged with your progress, Suzanne. I'll bet you've done more than you think. Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteThis year seems to have whirled by. Heck, I'm still reflecting about the end of 2013.
You keep focusing on all the positive aspects that have occurred, by dear friend.
Thanks for being part of um "I Was Seeking Gary."
Gary :)
Dolorah - The end of the year is a natural time for reflection.
ReplyDeleteCathrina - I intend to try!
Ken - Sometimes last minute is best!
Chrys - You're right, I will. Thank you :)
Annalisa - I think it goes with being a writer!
Helen - And counting .....
ohh man those end of the year reflections!! sometimes they scare me haha, good luck!!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the end of the year is approaching so quickly! Like you, I'm nowhere near where I hoped to be as far as writing and publishing. Oh well. I guess there's always next year...
ReplyDeleteThose year end reflections are hitting me hard this year. It's been an adventure, loaded with uncertainty. I'm just looking to enjoy what is left before the new year takes off. :)
ReplyDeleteI think we're probably our own worst critics...with everything. It's almost time for a new year, so look forward to what you can accomplish and don't look back on what you didn't. Thanks for visiting my blog today!
ReplyDeleteSometimes, even if we don't reach those preset goals, we are exactly where we are meant to be. I know it doesn't always feel like it, but there are times when growing requires much more than productivity, so all things work well together.
