What a week of ups and downs (read mainly downs). I have to admit I was really struggling to pick out things to celebrate and I seriously thought of missing a post this week. Then I gave myself a shake and made myself focus on positives, because however small they may be, they are worth hanging onto. So this week I'd like to celebrate;
* the sunshine for hanging around
* the power of a hug
* scented candles
* a good book to unwind with
Wishing you a peaceful and happy weekend.
the power of a hug, indeed something worth being grateful for - sending you a virtual one - have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThank you Claudia, I appreciate it.
DeleteHope next week is mostly ups then!
ReplyDeleteI hope so too!
DeleteIt sounds like you needed this meme--and sometimes a little treat for yourself does wonders too (my favorite when I get stuck in valleys like that). Here's wishing you a much better weekend and next week!
ReplyDeleteThanks, sometimes it seems all uphill doesn't it!
DeleteIt's good that you were still able to pull out a few celebrations, even in a week of downs. Here's hoping to an upward week next!
ReplyDeleteYou've got to stay positive, I hope next week is better.
DeleteThese are wonderful celebrations, Suzanne. Sometimes, it's the simple things that count most of all.

DeleteSorry you've had such a down week. Hugs are wonderful - I hope they helped you this week :-)
ReplyDeleteA hug a day I say!
DeleteName the book! Name the book! I'm always interested in what other people are reading - especially if you enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteMy week's been a bit rubbish too...it's probably a sign that something awesome is on the verge of happening...well, maybe xx
Sorry you've had a rubbish week too but I like you're thinking. Bring on the awesomeness! I've just finished reading a book I won recently called 'Splintered' by A.G. Howard. A slightly dark and surreal tribute to Carroll's 'Alice in Wonderland.' Fitted my mood quite well. xx
Deletethe sunshine is a good one, no more snow
ReplyDeleteSmall things but very important, it is not always the big things to celebrate a hug is a wonderful thing.........something I do so miss from my children and grandchildren.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
A good book can do wonders, especially if you're having a bad day. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteI totally understand those weeks- having had many myself. I do believe that these posts (and positive thinking in general) can change our world pretty drastically, though. Good for you to search for and fins the positives amidst all the troubles. And my prayers go out that your troubles end soon!
ReplyDeleteSome days and weeks are like that. Boy, I've had my share. But it's a positive attitude that finally pulls us up and you certainly show that here -:). I hope you found plenty of hugs and are charged for a better tomorrow. Take care.
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne .. hugs from up the coast and also some sunshine attached ... Funny how just sometimes things just don't quite work .. but luckily they turn around .. I hope you've had an easy weekend and will have a better week with some more hugs coming along - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteSunshine always seems to brighten things up!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you dealt with so many downs this past week. Glad there were still some things for you to celebrate, though! (I can't agree more about unwinding with a good book!)
ReplyDeleteGreetings human, Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteApawlogies for such a delay in commenting. Been looking after my human.
You embrace the pawsitives and the focus, despite your rather mixed week, is cause for celebration.
My human and I do hope your weekend was peaceful. May the week ahead be a most inspiring one for you.
Pawsitive wishes,
Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar! :)
Hugs are epic. I think that's what I love most about having littles--and endless supply of hugs. I know they'll grow out of it one day, but for now they just have to deal with me randomly grabbing them for a good squeeze.
ReplyDeleteThose sound like really good things to me!
ReplyDeleteAll Good things to Celebrate.
ReplyDeleteHi, Suzanne. New computer; can finally access all blogs on here without it throwing a fit.
ReplyDeleteWe are all looking so forward to sunshine and the warmth of spring. Joining you in your celebration.
It's the smallest things that mean the most Suzzanne. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteI'm particularly fond of sage scented candles. Somehow they make happier than those that are sweet.
ReplyDeleteHugs always are a cause to celebrate.
Another thing you can celebrate is living so close to beautiful places/castles like Tintagel. I am jealous.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a better week this week, Suzanne. I know sometimes it's a little tricky to find things to celebrate, but after you do, it cheers you up. Thinking of you and wishing you a happy weekend.
