Thanks to Viklit
My little celebrations for this week include:
Reaching the end of another wet and windy week! When will these storms pass? Thoughts very much with those suffering with flooding at the moment. I took some photos of the sea last week with the intention of posting here but to be honest the photos really don't show how big the waves really are. So you'll have to take my word for it - they are huge!
Week off work for half term, hopefully will get a little writing done later in the week but first catching up with an old friend who is visiting for a few days.
Added about 300 words to ms. Not massive I know but still progress so worth a mention!
The Blog Blitz Team! Never heard of them? Hop on over to DL Hammons to find out more and sign up to join the fun.
Happy Valentine's Day!
You wrote about 300 more words than I did. :)
ReplyDeleteDid I miss the request to promote blog blitz? I have seen a few.
DL asked anyone who could to give a shout out over the next couple of weeks.
DeleteI phoned my son in Spain......it's raining there also. think I will wait until the summer to visit. I live near the sea, very rough these days.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
I'm sure a visit in the summer would be lovely. Seems nowhere is escaping the winter weather.
DeleteSo sorry to hear of all that rain. Mother Nature can't be controlled. It's been one of the worst winters here in a long time. Happy Valentines Day! My hubby & I have been together for a long time Too! We don't do anything special.
ReplyDeleteThe weather can cause so many problems for all sorts of reasons.
DeleteI think everyone has had a lot of rain or snow lately.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week off!
Thanks, Alex.
DeleteProgress is progress. Good for you! Hoping your rain subsides a bit.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly how I like to think.
DeleteHappy Valentine's day. Have a very productive week off. I'd still like to see those pics of the huge waves even though they aren't well represented.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nana. Hope you have a great weekend.
DeleteNice to have some time off indeed and yeah the storms keep coming
ReplyDeleteHoping the weather will calm down soon.
DeleteThree hundred word is something to celebrate! Any number of words added to a WIP is worth celebrating as long as they're good ones. :-)
ReplyDeleteGood point, a few good words are better than a thousand rubbish ones!
DeleteHi Suzanne .. enjoy the week, particularly your friend's visit and then the time with the family, and last but not least your writing!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day .. enjoy .. lots of chocolate hearts .. this weather is just appalling .. and I too hope it eases soon ..
Cheers to you - Hilary
Hi Hilary, hope you stay dry in the storms too.
DeleteI've been hearing about this blog blitz, but not sure what it was, thanks for the link :)
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your time off work and 300 words is still pretty great!
Kim
That's 300 more words than you had before. In my mind, that's always something to celebrate, Suzanne! Have fun with your friend and the time off.
ReplyDeleteSia McKye Over Coffee
I bet the waves look and sound scary. O_O Yay for progress on the WIP and for the week of vacay! Enjoy! :)
ReplyDeleteI never do more than a few hundred words at a time...but they always add up to a book eventually. And let's face it - it's perfect writing weather at the moment!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great Valentine's Day! I think the Blog Blitz has been a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteThe week off for half term must be just the tonic for your ongoing writing endeavours. 300 words. I'm lucky if I can string a sentence together.
Hope Valentine's Day was wonderful for you. The Blog Blitz, which I'm involved, is a bit concerning when you see a number of comments on sites that make no mention of the actual posting, but only the blitz itself.
When will this awful weather end. I'm grateful that we haven't been flooded.
Gary :)
Your 300 words sounds a lot to me because I did not add a single word to my WIP, as I was busy revising an older WIP, working on several features for newspapers and correcting my students' assignments.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on those 300 words! Writing a little is definitely better than writing nothing. :)
ReplyDeleteI much appreciate the BLOG BLITZ mention! We should cross the 400 mark this week on our way to 500 in no time. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
A week off work is definitely worth celebrating! The Blitz Team is awesome. They were such a comfort when I needed it most. I was proud to join them. Have fun catching up with your friend!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the pics I've seen of the flooding in the UK. So unreal and heartbreaking.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a Happy Valentine's and a great weekend!
300 words is still better than nothing and something to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteAnd I've seen TV news reports on the flooding. We could use some of that here as we are in a long draught.
Sounds like a good week. And yes, I have heard of that team- I'm a proud member!
ReplyDeleteBlitz on.
