Celebrate the small things

Thanks to Viklit for hosting our weekly celebrations post.

This week I have managed to draft some outlines for a new writing project. I am a fan of mind maps and now have a pretty looking sheet sat next to my laptop. Next step some character profiles, hopefully will get time to start these over the weekend.  Then, knowing the way I work, I'll probably just dive in with Chapter One!

Update from last week's post  - the table is finally in place and being used. I am very pleased with it!

Happy Weekend

    1. Yeah, I'm not much of a planner so will get stuck in and see what happens!

  5. You're good Suzanne with outlines and profiles. I never outline. My fingers to the talking immediately with an outline in my head then as I continue on I start profiles. Good Luck with starting chapter one. And love the table & chairs.

    1. I'm not a big planner really. As the story is a sequel to something else I just wanted to make sure I had the continuity sorted and details close to hand when I need it!

  17. Well done on the outlines. Just getting something down on paper/screen makes other ideas flow, in my experience. I love that table too. With cat, dog and kids glass is not a good idea in my house though :-(

    1. I can imagine that with younger kids it may not be the best idea. Hopefully mine are past the stinky fingers stage! (I say hopefully!)

  18. That's a nice looking table and chairs. Now just make sure you don't use any abrasive cleaners on them otherwise it will ruin the look. Anyway, who am I to tell you how to clean?
All the best with your new writing project. I'm sure it will be a good one. Happy weekend mate.

  19. Nice looking table and chairs. Very compact. I could use something like that although I like the rectangular shape of ours for spreading out the newspaper.... Happy outlining/drafting!

    1. I had an oval shaped one before so it is different. I have a much bigger rectangular table in a separate room so guess I am lucky. I use the bigger table for spreading out my writing stuff!
