If you are a regular visitor to my blog you may recall me mentioning a trip somewhere new. Well, a couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to visit Avebury in Wiltshire. Avebury henge and stone circles date back to prehistoric times. Within the henge is the largest stone circle in Britain and originally consisted of around 100 stones. There are actually three circles set within one another. It is quite an amazing sight and the photos don't really do it justice. If you ever get a chance to visit I can certainly recommend it. And you can easily wander around the stones and explore them at your leisure.
