The weather is also continuing to be lovely - we even managed a BBQ last Sunday! We bought it last year and never got around to putting it together because the weather just didn't seem to warrant it but last weekend we unpacked the box and fired it up. Who knows, we might even get to use it again this weekend!
Last weekend I also enjoyed a surprise late birthday treat (my birthday is in the winter so not ideal time for days out!). It was organised by my lovely friends who gave me a day to remember. First a car journey, then a boat across the bay, a paddle in the sea and a glass of champagne and then afternoon tea. A perfect day . . .
View while we enjoyed . . .
delicious cakes and sandwiches . . .
washed down with pots of tea and glasses of Pimms.
Hi Suzanne - what a good week ... how wonderful - belated or early celebrations with friends ... and a little mini journey - fun! Happy days and enjoy that BBQuing ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteMy, Suzanne you have had a busy week. As I write the computer doctor is coming to collect my laptop. Should have it returned by this evening.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.

Great things to celebrate and beautiful pictures Suzanne. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteSure sounds like a great half way mark birthday celebration
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne, looks like the weather is behaving itself. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely friends you have! It looks like you had a brilliant day for it.
ReplyDeleteYour belated birthday treat sounds so lovely. What a sweet thing for your friends to do for you!
ReplyDeleteWhat adorable friends to take you out for a not-your-birthday surprise! The BBQ sounds like a lot of fun. We had a cherry tree in our back yard. It had loads of cherries and the birds ate the ones on the top half while we got the ones on the bottom half. Seemed pretty fair. LOL!
ReplyDeleteHow nice of your friends to do that. The pics are amazing and looks like you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteThanks all. Sadly no BBQ today as it has turned wet!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely surprise. The first thing I'm going to do when I travel back to the UK next week is have a large Pimms!!
