In other news, we had an Alice in Wonderland afternoon tea party.
Look cake!!
and more food...
I used vintage tea cups and jugs to put some of the food in...
I spent a lovely Sunday afternoon here...
This only about four miles from where I live and they hold an annual Food Festival which is always popular. This year saw their inaugural Literary Festival alongside. They had some great YA authors appearing so obviously I had to go along and say hello. Hopefully, it will become as popular as the food side of the festival.
It is a Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK. Hopefully the extra day will give me the opportunity to finish of my submission letter.
Happy weekend to you all

Congratulations on finishing your book. I think your priorities were right on. I've done less blogging for the same reason, and I can see the end goal coming closer and closer.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, what a clever idea: an Alice in Wonderland tea party. Did you do any costumes?
Simple costumes... I had a dormouse mask, hubs was mad hatter and daughter, Alice... well she was Alice obviously!
DeleteHi Suzanne - that withdrawal seems to have worked for you - well done. Love the Alice tea party - looks delicious ... while the food festival must have made a wonderful visit ... making me homesick for Cornwall! Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteHopefully you'll get to visit Cornwall again soon.
DeleteCongrats on the completion of your book Suzanne.
ReplyDeleteLovely to have you back.Thought the pics awesome.
Enjoy your week-end.
Yvonne.
Thanks, Yvonne. It's nice to catch up with you all again.

ReplyDeleteThe food setup looks great. I would eat that.
Thanks, Alex. There wasn't much left after everyone went home!
DeleteGood job Suzanne. So excited your story is almost ready! And your party will be spectacular. The table looks lovely. Have a great time.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Deanie.
DeleteCongrats on the finish line indeed. Welcome back too. Sometimes one needs a good tea party lol
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pat. I have been busy but productive!
DeleteCongrats on doing so much with your ms and being almost ready to sub it! The Alice in Wonderland tea looks awesome, and the view of the harbour is amazing. Have a lovely weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteI went to that food festival one year - glorious weather and I went shoeless on the beach. I was in a thick jacket today! How cool they've got a literary festival too. There are a lot popping up around Cornwall, it's a good place to be a writer at the moment :-)
ReplyDeleteGood to have you back, and congrats on finishing your ms.
Thanks, Annalisa, it does seem like a good place to be a writer at the moment.
DeleteHi Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteOh my, its taken me until Saturday evening to finally get your blog.
It seems you been away from blogging for all the right reasons and you realised your priorities. Congrats on being almost ready for submission. Hmmm...maybe that didn't sound right! :)
Nothing like a bit of a "Mad Hatter's" tea party. Enjoy the extra long weekend.
Gary :)
Lol! Thanks for stopping by Gary. I hope all is well with you.
DeleteLovely to see you back online! I'm so excited you'll be submitting again soon - best of luck! Is that Porthleven I can see? It looks beautiful. I'm a bit further up in Fowey right now, making my annual pilgrimage to all-things-Daphne. I love Cornwall - you're so lucky to live here. Have a great bank holiday Hxx
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed Porthleven, hope your trip to Fowey was wonderful.
DeleteCongrats on making so much progress with your manuscript! Best of luck with your submissions! The cakes and everything else look lovely and delicious. In fact, it's making me hungry. I'm off to forage for food. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting about your manuscript! Such great productivity, for sure. And a Wonderland-themed tea party sounds fun. That first picture is so cute!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on making progress! The tea party looks wonderful. :-)
