Celebrate the small things

A busy week, but I love this hop as it is the perfect opportunity to post a short update and to reflect on the little things that have made us smile. This week I am celebrating:

* My new vacuum cleaner. I somehow blew my old one up a couple of weeks ago, which was rather annoying, but my new shiny one is great and much lighter to carry up and down the stairs. I actually quite like doing the hoovering - it is a good time to think through those plot problems!

* Daffodils. I love these sunny, yellow flowers. There are quite a lot of fields of daffodils around our area. Some are obviously picked in bud for cut flowers, but many are left to flower in the field and the bulbs collected later.

And finally, the sun has showed itself a couple of days this week. Spring is beckoning.

  7. I have been SO HAPPY that the sun has finally decided to show her face! It's still chilly where I am in the UK, but there's definitely a feeling of spring in the air which I love :). And the daffodils are starting to come out now too! Have a great weekend!

  8. Yes the sunshine has been lovely and your daffodils look gorgeous :) I'm glad your new vacuum cleaner is lighter - humping around clunky, heavy ones makes this chore even worse!! Have a great weekend :) Special Teaching at Pempi’s Palace

  9. I hope spring stays there. It's been visiting here for the past few days too. Our daffodils aren't up yet but it shouldn't be too long before they pop up. Have a great week.

  10. Such lovely daffodils! I always loved daffodils and crocuses in the spring. Yay for your new vaccuum cleaner. Mine almost bit the dust (haha) a few months ago, but a serious cleaning of its filters helped. I'm glad you solve plot problems when you hoover! Have a lovely weekend! :)

  24. My wife also loves daffodils, and your picture is awesome. Where did you find such beautiful looking flowers? Also, I am sorry to hear about your vacuum, but sometimes that stuff works out in the end, and it sounds like it did since you are happy with your new one!
