First IWSG of 2016

Happy New Year to you all

I hope you all enjoyed the holidays and are feeling ready to embrace the year ahead. I haven't been around much online for a couple of weeks and am only now dipping my toe back into the water! I am sad that I haven't had time for writing since before Christmas but I am planning to get back into that over the next few days. In some ways I think it is a good thing as it will have given me some distance in which to re-approach  my editing and revisions with fresh eyes.

I haven't made any particular resolutions for the new year, nor set myself any deadlines yet, however, I am looking to have a submission ready manuscript in the next few months. I am trying not to let any niggling insecurities push their way in and spoil my new year positivity. Here's hoping that 2016 will be a great writing year!

Thanks to Alex J. Cavanugh for hosting and to this month's co-hosts;

  5. Yay for new year positivity! I'm relieved I'm not the only one who's gotten behind in writing over the holidays. I love your idea of the break giving you "fresh eyes" to edit. I hope that works for me too!
