Celebrate the small things

Have you all eased yourselves into the new year yet? Already we're a week into it and time is rushing along as fast as last year but I wanted to pause for a moment and consider those small things that can make a big difference!

Often we start the new year with claims that we are going to eat healthier, take more exercise and so on. Well this year I do mean it! Healthy fruit and veggie smoothies are going down great in our household at the moment. Having one for breakfast seems to really fill me up so I am not tempted to snack before lunch! They only take a few minutes to make and I can drink it while getting ready for work. So far it seems like a win win situation!

I am planning to reconnect with my manuscript this weekend. I am excited to dive back in and see how the characters are feeling after the holidays. I hope I will be able to report good progress soon.

Happy weekend!

  2. Hi Suzanne - well done on the smoothie front - they are good though. Doing small steps and doing them every day is the way to win through ... you're on the right track and now your MS - good luck with upping the ante there .. cheers Hilary

  5. I don't make resolutions anymore, but your goals sound good. Best luck as you revisit your manuscript. Often the time away has all sorts of benefits that come to the surface on return.

  16. You're so right about small steps. Saying you're going to have a smoothie for breakfast is much easier to achieve than saying you're going to revolutionise your entire life overnight. Good luck, and I hope your ms is going well, too.
