Celebrate the small things

My main celebration this week is a big one, well for our family anyway. Our eldest had her official university graduation yesterday. It was a lovely afternoon and even the sun decided to come out for a few hours! There were tears (mine obviously!), a couple of glasses of fizz and lots of laughter. My feet ached today from wearing too high heels (but they were awesome shoes!). Anyway, she now has a First Class BA Hons in Creative Advertising - congratulations Alice. So pleased and proud. I am hoping to be using your talents in the future!

With Dawn French Chancellor of the University who presented the certificates.

In other news, I managed a few hundred words of writing. Not quite as much as I hoped to do but it ended up being a busy week!

Thanks to Lexa and her lovely co-hosts

  2. Hi Suzanne - many congratulations to Alice and she's tall and willowy - looks a delight ... though I imagine meeting Dawn French and having her give the speeches and awards must have been quite fun and interesting.

So pleased for you all - and I'm not surprised you didn't get much done ... but those shoes - sound daunting! Cheers and have a very happy weekend ... Hilary

  7. Congrats to your daughter! I didn't realize the UK had graduations in fall. The US's are in May. Yay for happy tears, great looking shoes, and words written, no matter how few or many!

  9. Aw, congrats to your daughter! Congrats to you, too, in regards to your writing. The word count may not have been as large as you had hoped, but at least it's still larger than zero! ;)
