Celebrate the small things

It was my birthday this week - another year older not sure about the wiser! Next year will be one of those milestone birthdays, *gulps.* and I'm not really sure I feel grown up enough for it. My two lovely girls gave me this card and I so want to be 'THAT!!'

Although it was a work day, so no lie-ins or special breakfasts, it was a good day. Eldest daughter cooked dinner and we spoke to the youngest, who is away at University, on Skype. Presents included a new coat (chosen by myself so it is quite purple!), a voucher for a pedicure, a pretty wash bag, various toiletries, scented candles and flowers. I felt quite spoilt.

This post is part of the Celebrate the small things weekly hop. With thanks to our new host Lexa and a co-hosts; L.G. Keltner @ Writing Off The Edge and Katie @ TheCyborgMom

Thanks for stopping by and happy weekend everyone.

  2. Belated birthday greetings. What lovely girlie presents. Don't worry about so-called significant birthdays. It's just a number - or an excuse for a huge party, depending on your pov.

  11. Happy Birthday, Suzanne! Your daughters picked the perfect card. Daughters always seem to know what to say :) don't they? Just one daughter on my end and she means the world to me.

  15. Happy birthday! The positive about milestones is you tend to get spoiled - so you've got a year to hint at what'll be a fitting special present :) x

  18. Belated Birthday wishes - love that card!
On my last milestone birthday I discovered a secret that I've used every year since. The trick is to enjoy the celebrations but 'forget' the number attached to that particular birthday. If anyone asks, change the subject and keep them guessing!
