Celebrate the small things

I didn't get to post for Celebrate the small things last week, so this edition covers the last fortnight! So what's on the list ...

  • I'm celebrating the blogging community and their wonderful support and encouragement. If you read my last IWSG post you know I have been suffering from a lack of focus. Thank you to all of you who stopped by to offer advice. I am slowly starting to pick myself up and get back into my writing groove! I am looking ahead to the school holidays when I will have time away from my usual routine and commitments to make some more progress on a couple of writing projects.
  • Finding a great pair of shorts for my forthcoming holiday! They cost more than I would normally spend on such an item but they make me feel good and I will be happy to be seen out in them - sometimes it is worth the extra investment!
  • Having a long phone chat with a friend I don't get to see very often.
  • Ticking several mundane items off my ever increasing to do list!
Happy Friday #CTST

  5. I'm so glad the comments on the IWSG post helped. Every month, they help me too. Yay for pretty shorts, having a catch-up chat with an old friend, and crossing some stuff off that to-do list! :)

  8. I'm already envying your summer holiday writing plans - I'll struggle to get much done while the boys are at home. I hope you're going somewhere nice. Try to post a few holiday photos - maybe even one with the new shorts in. (I'm so nosy!)

    1. Hehe I'll censor the photo's, wouldn't want to scare anyone off! We are going to Turkey for a week in August, so looking forward to a break! Hope you have loads of fun with the boys, they grow up WAY too fast.

  16. Glad you're back into the writing groove! I think I lost mine this week, but it's okay. There's always tomorrow. Checking off things from to-do lists is great too, so while I'm not writing, at least that is getting done, boom! lol

  18. Hi Suzanne,

Here's to your writing groove and that positive focus. It's heartening how the sharing and caring can be a wonderful catalyst.

School over here will soon be out. At least I can drive by the school without it being blocked off by "Chelsea tractors." Now then, go find some shorts for the rest of the summer. A long chat with an old friend is always so neat.

    Gary :)
