With the longest day this weekend it certainly feels like summer is here. The weather is continuing to be lovely and the evenings so light you can almost forget it's time to go to bed! So. what did this week bring? Well, some highs and lows to be honest.

But there are things to celebrate and be thankful for:
  • Hubby has been away working for a week but will be back Friday night so looking forward to that.
  • Daughter number one has finished 2nd year at University and has passed with excellent results.
  • Daughter number two has finished her A level exams. She has worked so hard and deserves to do well so fingers crossed for the results in August that will enable her to go the University of her choice. She had a presentation evening at college last night and won a student of the year award in ICT which was a lovely surprise. She has a summer dance to look forward to tonight with her friends, several of which will be staying with us overnight I think. I love a house full of happy teenagers!
  • I have managed to edit a few chapters on my draft and I am pleased with the results so far.
  • I went for a lovely long walk on Wednesday evening with a couple of friends and we saw dolphins swimming and playing in the sea. A truly awesome sight.

  1. All wonderful things to be thankful for, your daughters sound like they are on their way to becoming bright and successful individuals after school. (: I'm sorry to hear about your friends though, unexpected health problems tend to throw everything off balance, I hope they find the help they need and get better soon.

  19. Dolphins! How cool. I've never thought about dolphins being around England. In my mind they're always playing around sunny tropical islands, lol! Congrats on your daughters doing so well! And have fun w/your full house. =)

  21. So nice to hear of your blessings, Suzanne. Makes me stop and think about mine. Lots of baby ducks passing by with their mother. Love to see that on the lake.

  22. Hi Suzanne,

Ah yes, the weather has been lovely. Even here "oop" north :) It seems all is going well in your life, your family's life. This is an upbeat post and I'm glad I read it.

Of course, the beauty of seeing dolphins frolicking in the sea. I too have had such an experience in Wales. Indeed, Leandra, dolphins do get around! :)

    Have a lovely weekend, Suzanne.

  23. I wish I was your end of the work - here in Dubai it's way to hot to go for a walk, even at night. :(

Sounds like it's all happening for your daughters. How loud you must be.

    Happy weekend!

  28. Yay! I hate it when the hubby is away. I want to see dolphins too! Guess that means I'd have to actually go hit the beach, eh? I should do that. I mean, I only live in Florida. *sigh* You know how you take things for granted that always available? Guilty.
