The end of the week certainly comes round fast which means it's time for us to reflect on events from the past seven days. Even though I've been away from school it has been a busy week in our household. We are having some new windows fitted on the front of the house and it is amazing how the whole thing takes over! People in and out of the house and dust everywhere not only in the rooms where the new windows are going, however, I know it needs to be done and they are looking good so guess I'll just have to get on with a bit of cleaning this afternoon. Due to the Easter break, the window fitter won't be back until next Tuesday to finish off so need to get rid of some of the dust else it will only travel!
Apart from the new windows this week I am celebrating;
Apart from the new windows this week I am celebrating;
- Going out for a nice long walk with friends from work on Monday. It was a beautiful day and we had lunch in a pub on the way. Chance for a good natter away from work.
- Went to see an Agatha Christie play last night called, 'Black Coffee.' It was very good, nice to see the 1920's costumes and sets.
- A 21st birthday celebration to go to tomorrow.
- I didn't achieve huge amounts of writing this week, but did a little editing, sent a piece of work out on submission and tidied up a short story I am sending off to a competition, so progress of sorts.
- Looking forward to eating chocolate again on Sunday. At times it has been hard not reaching for a choccy treat at times of stress, but, on the whole, it hasn't been too difficult to abstain for a while. Lost a couple of pounds as well so that was a bonus!
Hope you all have a happy, peaceful Easter weekend.
Enjoy a chocolate bunny on Easter!
ReplyDeleteWe had windows put in a few years ago. Yeah, there's a lot of dust.
I'm looking forward to it already!
DeleteHappy Easter, Suzanne!
ReplyDeleteDust is a pain, but it will all be worth it when the windows are done! :D
They will look great I know. Had a dust around this afternoon and already looking tonnes better.
DeleteHappy Easter to you and your family, Suzanne! And enjoy the chocolate. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, you too, Julie :)
DeleteHappy Easter to you and your family Suzanne. Enjoy the chocolate treat.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rachna :)
DeleteI haven't eaten chocolate in years but to look at me you wouldn't believe it. Have a wonderful Easter and above all enjoy yourself.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Thanks, Yvonne :)
DeleteWahoo to losing the pounds, but going without chocolate? That's determination. Here's to sticking to your guns and getting results! Happy Easter to you.
ReplyDeleteWell it took a bit of will power but only a couple of times I really craved it!
DeleteMind over matter. Way to be.
DeleteSo jealous of those walks and the Agatha Christie play. I love seeing her stories on the stage.
ReplyDeleteThe play was fun, always worth a visit.
DeleteHappy Easter.
ReplyDeleteYou too :)
DeleteHi Suzanne .. so lovely to walk the Cornish countryside .. my brother, his wife and friends have been tandemming around Lands End and were facing Zennor and St Ives before stopping over at the Carbis Bay Hotel - to see Godrevey Lighthouse .. that's more than I can do!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy Easter and those windows will make such a change .. and I know about dust - I'm practised, but would rather not come and help - sorreeee!! Cheers and enjoy that chocolate .. Hilary
Starting to get dust under control now!
DeleteHappy Easter :)
Hope you got the dust under control. Enjoy the Easter weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks, you too :)
DeleteHave fun at the birthday celebration and enjoy that chocolate! :D
ReplyDeleteHmmm chocolate ...
DeleteHi human, Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteMy human had double-glazed windows fitted. He tells me it takes twice as long to wash them. I think he's being silly.
Nothing like a pleasant walk in such fine weather in our beautiful English countryside. I'm going to take Gary for a walk on Sunday.
Enjoy that birthday celebration. A peaceful Easter to you and your loved ones, my human friend.
Pawsitive wishes,
Penny, the friendly host of the Alphabark Challenge! :)
Enjoy that walk Penny!
DeleteHappy Easter to you too! :-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend, Misha.
DeleteHope you had a great Easter! That's very cool about the Agatha Christie play. The 1920s is always such an appealing setting, I think...
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed Easter. Sounds like you probably did. :-)I'm your newest blog follower (for the moment), and it's nice to meet you.
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne--new follower here from IWSG. I like your attitude! Glad to see you can celebrate the small things in life :) Hope you had a nice Easter!
ReplyDeleteBelated Happy Easter and I hope you enjoyed that choccy ;)

Happy (belated) Easter! Agatha Christie plays are fabulous! <3
ReplyDeleteThanks and welcome, Mia.
DeleteI'm impressed by anyone who can give up chocolate... I have to know it's there, even if I no longer need to eat it every day.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with submissions!
ReplyDeleteAnd well done on the chocolate restraint, I do not have your will power. Just talking about it is making me want to reach for a piece....Agh!
Btw, I'm following your blog via the wordpress reader. It's such a shame that Wordpress and Blogger don't communicate better. Thought I'd let you know as it's always nice to hear of a new follower :)
Thank you, Celine. I will visit your blog.
DeleteHope easter was grand in your land, editing has to be done sometime too
ReplyDeleteEnjoy a piece of chocolate for me!
