Sporadic Blogger and Celebrate the Small Things

I've been a bit sporadic with my blogging habits this last week or so! I think it is just that time of year, holidays, family visits and so on dominate and I know it is a similar story for a lot of you. Even though I am officially 'off work' till September there still doesn't seem enough hours in the day and finding any decent writing time is tricky. But I have managed a little so I am not too worried, sometimes other things have to come first. I expect my schedule to continue in this vain until the begininng of September so if I disappear offline for a bit don't worry, I'll be back! I'll try and get my WRiTE CLUB votes in as it nears the end of the first round. Interesting competition with some tough bouts this year. Still time to sign up to vote.

Before I check out of the blogosphere for a while here is this weeks post for the weekly 'Celebrate the small things' hop hosted by Viklit over at Scribblings of an Aspiring Author. Thanks Vikki.

I won a book in Nancy LaRonda Johnsons' giveaway
I caught up with some more friends I haven't seen in ages
My elderly cat, who has been poorly, is seeming a little better
I've been helping daughter No.2 draft her 'Personal Statement' to accompany her university application. It's an exercise in creative writing skills and editing but I think we are getting somewhere with it now!
Her AS level results yesterday were brilliant - 3xAs and 1xB. So pleased for her
I'm also looking ahead to later in the week when we are going away for a family break

Well that seems like a few good reasons to celebrate!
 Have a great weekend.

  1. Congrats on your daughters exam results. You must be really proud of her doing so well and I'm sure she'll do even better at university.
Yes, this time of the year can be busy due to holidays etc, so I hope you have a wonderful family break and come back all refreshed and relaxed. Glad the cat is also feeling better. You do have a lot to celebrate :)

It's sporadic for a lot of people. I've been enjoying my two days a week. It will be odd to go back to three in September. Well, next month is going to be unusual for a lot of reasons!

  8. My blogging's all over the place, so I've often wondered how you find the time to keep up your regular posts AS WELL as always leaving words of encouragement on everyone else's blogs AS WELL as having a job and family. So - frankly - I find it reassuring that it isn't always as effortless as you make it seem. (Although this does put paid to my pet theory that you are in fact a cyborg!)

  9. Those are great results, congratulations to your daughter! Personal statements are very difficult to write, I spent a long time on mine and I hated it.

I must admit I've noticed my blog watching isn't taking so long atm with holidays. Being stuck immobile the only thing I have been able to do is keep my blog posts coming LOL!

  16. Isn't it great when you meet up with old friends? I did this last weekend, and the years rolled back. It was as they I'd seen then last week, rather than 25 years ago.
