Four! I read Casino Royale because Stephen Fry once said - "How can you not love a book which includes the line 'James Bond lit his seventieth cigarette of the day...'?" And I re-read Treasure Island every time the weather gets really cold and wet! Some really great choices on the list.
Four seems pretty good to me, Helen. As I just said to Nick above I haven't actually read Treasure Island - maybe I should. From this list I have read, You Before Me and The Island so far. Both of them were thought provoking and brought a tear to my eye!
I'm pleased to say I recognize many of these. I bet that's in part to blogosphere. I'm meeting such talent writers all the time. It's an exciting time.
I love reading your comments, thank you for taking the time to visit and interact but please note I have disabled anonymous comments due to too much spam!
Thanks for letting me know!
ReplyDeleteI'm fairly happy that I've read a lot of those books, but I think Noughts and Crosses is my favourite of the lot!
ReplyDeleteThis is one I want to read!
DeleteRead one, you got me beat!
ReplyDeleteOne is better than none, Pat!
DeleteI've read The Eyre Affair, but that's all from that list.
ReplyDeleteHaven't read that one, Annalisa. Trouble is there are so many books I would love to read but not enough time!
DeleteHi Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteI'm spending so much time blogging and commenting that I've haven't read a book in its entirety in months. Thanks for the prompt.
Gary
I try and read each night before bed although sometimes it's only a few pages if I'm too bushed!
DeleteI've read three - and picked up two more last night.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing well there, Patsy. Happy reading :)
DeleteForgot about this! I've only read Treasure Island, and started The Eyre Affair, but for some reason couldn't get on with it.
ReplyDeleteFunnily enough even though it's a classic I have never read Treasure Island.
DeleteFour!

ReplyDeletePS... thanks :)

ReplyDeleteHappy late World Book Night!
