Birthstone Unicorns

I have updated the side bar to give details of this months birthstone, peridot. I often find this is a little known gem but one that is very pretty and worth a look. I have also added an extract from my Birthstone Unicorns Series for this month.

I know I am a few days early with this but I am due to take a short break so will be away from the 'blogosphere' for a week or so. I intend to recharge my batteries and spend some time with my family. My children are growing up so quickly it is scary and I intend to make the most of this precious time. I have had an exhausting year, and some time out is much needed. I am sure it will stimulate my creativeness as well.  Maybe I will come back with loads of new ideas.

Saying that, I will drop into, Write Club tomorrow and see the start of that and I have a post scheduled for 6th August as a shoutout for Kyra Lennon and her new release GAME ON, so not totally disappearing!

The birthstone flowers for August are the gladiolus or Poppy.

Happy Birthday if you are celebrating this month.

See you all soon.

  3. I like the sound of peridot, but I'd never heard of it before, and I think your unicorn series sounds the sort of thing my two girls would have been mad for a few years ago,
Enjoy your time off, and your time with the kids!
